Haremoor did a great job... were having Wright up to speak, and I'm going to pass on the letter for Haremoor.

Yup, and also founded a battered women's shelter, a food bank, an AIDS ministry, a fatherhood support group, a free tutoring program, a voter registration drive, among other humanitarian and community building programs.

But you go ahead and put that in your moral balance with a two-second lapse of judgement in the middle of an emotional sermon.

You go right ahead and do that. It says a lot more about you than Rev. Wright.

Stay classy.

My fellow democrat.  why attack me personally?

Maybe it was the Hitler reference.  Just a thought.

My fellow democrat.  why attack me personally?

1. Hitler did the same for his white race. And he was a soft spoken guy in small settings.

I wish you were atypical of Clinton supporters on this site. I can't believe they put up with this filth.

Re: My Dad - and Dr. Wright (1.50 / 2)

Well that's barely coherent.

But I'm curious: When Bill Clinton offered up your relatives' deaths as a justification for HRC's vote to let Osama go so Bush could go after that guy who had nothing to do with it, how did that make you feel?

" filth" " sick" are words you describe me / hillary supporters. Okay fair enough...

ah... not "fair" or true.

Only the historical illiterates and moral bankrupts who compare some taken-out-of-context rhetoric to the Holocaust.

Re: My Dad - and Dr. Wright (2.00 / 1)

What was common between Hitler and Wright? When you bring up the good things Hitler did to negate the good things Wright did, instead of bringing up another example of a hot headed individual, you pretty much are implicitly equating Hitler and Wright on the evil side too. That's why your comparison of their "good" deeds is out of bounds.

Zeroed throughout (2.00 / 1)

for the comparison between Wright and Hitler, and here specifically for the 'great things Hitler did for his race'.

My grandfather fought in Hitler's war, along with his three brothers; he's the only one that came back. My mom and her siblings almost starved to death as children because of all that Hitler managed to do for his race. And as Germans, they were the lucky ones. No death camps for them, just the incidentals of a murderous war their country had started. Hitler didn't even have the reasoning of being discriminated against, as Wright did and does.

Eh, why do I bother? Quick, can some Hillary supporter uprate this troll?

Here's a clue - when you have been here only 2 days and are getting HR'd into oblivion, you are one of two things:

1  A troll

2  An idiot that hasn't read the rules

Looking at your lame username, I'm guessing 1.  So which is it?

Re: My Dad - and Dr. Wright (none / 0)

"1000's of churches in the US that have greater outreach programs if not the same... "

This is a freaking lie, I'm sorry but I truly doubt that more than a bare handful of churches have greater outreach programs maybe a dozen at most.

a two minute lapse? (1.00 / 2)

I doubt it.  We have been told in no uncertain terms by Obamafans that this is what Afro-centric liberation theology is all about.
Oprah had the sense to quit the church, too bad Obama did not.

The southern "fundy" churches also set up excellent programs for the poor, but that doesn't excuse those that sunday after sunday rant and rave about homosexuals going to hell etc...

My church also feeds the poor, builds health Clinics etc... and never once did I have to listen to a bit of nonsense about the evil people who invented AIDS to kill blacks or how Hillary is a privileged white (equals evil) woman who has no idea what it is to be called names.  (forget that Obama is the one who went to private schools and lived in gated communities).

Please let the man be responsible for his bad behavior.  If Obama went to that church for political reasons, shame on him.  If he went there because he agreed with Wright, shame on him too.
But it is not my problem and I am not interested in rehabbing a man who just retired to a massive mansion built for him by his congregation.  It is just another mega church built on divisiveness.

For Obama it now becomes: Faith, hope and CHANGE! And the greatest of these is Change!

Where do you people come up with this crap? His grandfather sold furniture.

Park Ridge isn't exactly the mean streets, and last time I checked, Wellesley and Yale weren't exactly community colleges.

I am not interested in rehabbing a man who just retired to a massive mansion built for him by his congregation.

As opposed to the Clintons' simple life in Chappaqua and Georgetown, paid for by supporters who bought their books? And, of course, Peter Giustra, Ron Burkle, and the government of Kazakhstan.

Re: My Dad - and Dr. Wright (1.00 / 0)

To myddfan
It is ok to be ignorant I guess.. But in this medium  ...  and watching those full clips...  You should have invested some time looking up the meaning of god d.. America in contest . Before you just wave all this man's life good deeds in return of these words .. that you do not understand them to be biblical in nature...
But i Guess you could be a likudnick who is upset about " we helped kill Palestinian people through support of israel" In that case you probably do not understand the concept and way too biased to even care if you did .. anyways .. to his community which is the ultimate test of a pastor .. he is ok .. weather people like you approve or not. So without the theatrical's of Hitler and hamas just comment that you do not approve if YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED in maintaining civil forum.
However I think that is just a talking point to you.

Re: My Dad - and Dr. Wright (none / 0)

Intersitng point, of course you could also say:

A man can take out the one medical source in an impoverished nation, let half a million children starve to preserve political capital, enable the murder of a million + Rwandans, put mothers and children on the street at home and only act against Bin Laden when it helped take heat off his own pecadillos and still be remembered as a decent president because he spoke well.  But hey I guess were not supposed to look close at Clinton's record.

Additionally only a freaking moron would fail to point out that Hamas and Hebollah have both commited acts of terror, while Hitler was one of history's great monsters -- what did Wright do that counteracted his good works?
